Rouzer announces deadline for Service Academy nominations

Today, Congressman David Rouzer (R-NC) announced the deadline of Monday, October 31st for eligible applicants in North Carolina’s 7th Congressional District wishing to apply for a nomination to a United States Service Academy for the 2017 academic year.

“It’s an honor to nominate some of the best and brightest students of Southeastern North Carolina to attend a United States Service Academy where they will receive a first-rate undergraduate education and have the opportunity to give back to our nation by serving on active duty as a military officer.  I encourage all students in the 7th Congressional District who are interested in this opportunity to submit an application to my office by October 31st to be considered for a nomination.”

The deadline to submit an application to be considered for a Service Academy nomination is Monday, October 31st.  Congressman Rouzer may nominate up to ten individuals for each vacant academy slot allotted to the 7th Congressional District.  Members of Congress may nominate candidates for appointments to four of the five U.S. Service Academies, including the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, the U.S. Naval Academy, the U.S. Air Force Academy and the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy.
