Rouzer Statement on NC Emergency Management Director Mike Sprayberry’s Retirement

Congressman David Rouzer (NC-07) released the following statement upon Director of North Carolina Emergency Management Mike Sprayberry’s announcement that he will retire in August: “I would like to thank Mike Sprayberry for his dedicated service to the people and communities of North Carolina as director of NC Emergency Management. “Director Sprayberry has been an instrumental partner for North Carolina’s Congressional Delegation as we worked to secure critical hurricane recovery and disaster relief funding. Through numerous hurricanes, winter storms, the COVID-19 pandemic, and many other challenging times, Director Sprayberry’s leadership has been exceptional. Because of his stewardship, the citizens of our state have benefited tremendously from an effective emergency management operation that has made our state more resilient. “I’m grateful for his service to the state of North Carolina, and I am proud to call him my friend.” |
