Rouzer Statement on the Verdict in the Derek Chauvin Trial

Washington, DC, April 21, 2021

 – Congressman David Rouzer (NC-07) released the following statement on the verdict in the trial of former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin for the murder of George Floyd:

“I am hopeful that the verdicts in the George Floyd case will help to enhance the trust of all Americans in our justice system.  This was an officer who clearly violated proper police protocols and training.  It is my hope that these verdicts will help to bring closure and healing to the family and all Americans.”
