 Congressman David Rouzer (NC-07) released the following statement on H.R. 5305, a continuing resolution to extend government funding through December 3, 2021 and raise the nation's debt ceiling:

“Congressional Democrats have been solely focused on ramming through their economy-crippling agenda instead of working with Republicans to find common ground on keeping the government open for business while being responsible stewards of taxpayer dollars.

“The continuing resolution brought to the Floor today is just another example of reckless governance by Speaker Pelosi and House Democrats.  They want a blank check debt limit increase to pay for their $3.5 trillion tax and spend spree.  The consequences will lead to more debt and even higher inflation.  Make no mistake, this inflation is a hidden tax on every American taxpayer.”
