This week, North Carolina Governor Roy Cooper announced further easing of some of the state’s COVID-19 restrictions.  Beginning today:

• The indoor gathering limit will be increased from 25 to 50, and the outdoor gathering limit will be increased from 50 to 100.
  
  
• The curfew on alcohol sales for onsite consumption will be fully lifted.
  
  
• Some establishments, including restaurants, breweries, wineries, amusement parks, gyms and pools, may increase capacity up to 75% indoors and up to 100% outdoors.
  
  
• All businesses must continue to maintain the 6 feet of distance requirement between patrons and implement other safety protocols as they expand their capacity.

COVID-19 Vaccine Update

The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (NCDHHS), Governor Cooper, and our local officials are responsible for coordinating the COVID-19 vaccine distribution effort in North Carolina.

What Phase Are We In?

According to the NCDHHS, limited amounts of COVID-19 vaccines are available at select locations and are only for:

• Group 1: Health care workers and Long-Term Care staff and residents.
• Group 2: Anyone 65 years or older, regardless of health status or living situation.
• Group 3: Frontline Essential Workers.
• Group 4: Adults at High Risk for Exposure and Increased Risk of Severe Illness.

Where Can I Get My Vaccine?

You can use this tool from the NCDHHS to find a COVID-19 vaccine location near you in North Carolina.  Additionally, here is a list of vaccine providers and county health departments in the 7^th Congressional District that you can contact for more information:
