Rouzer Now Accepting Submissions for 2024 Congressional App Challenge

  • Washington, DC Office

WASHINGTON, DC - Congressman David Rouzer (NC-07) is now accepting submissions for the 2024 Congressional App Challenge.  All middle and high school students who reside or attend school within the Seventh Congressional District are encouraged to participate.

The annual competition challenges students to create an original software application.  The winner will be eligible to have their app displayed in the U.S. Capitol, featured on the U.S. House of Representatives website, and will be invited to attend the #HouseofCode Capitol Hill reception.

"I’m excited to invite students in North Carolina’s Seventh Congressional District to participate in the 2024 Congressional App Challenge,” said Congressman Rouzer.  “This important program allows students to showcase their skills in programming and computer science and supports the next generation of STEM leaders.  I look forward to seeing their submissions.”

The Congressional App Challenge is an opportunity for students to compete against their peers and test their abilities in coding and computer science.  The competition provides students with the chance to hone their skills in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) disciplines and begin exploring new industries and future career paths.

Guidelines and regulations to participate in the 2024 Congressional App Challenge can be found here.  Use this tool to determine if students reside or attend school within North Carolina's Seventh Congressional District.

All entries must be submitted no later than 12:00 PM EST on October 24, 2024.
