WASHINGTON, D.C. - With the support of Congressman David Rouzer (NC-07), the House passed a Senate-amended budget resolution to establish the congressional budget for fiscal year 2025 and recommended levels of spending, revenues, debt and deficits for fiscal years 2026 through 2034. With passage of the resolution, House Republicans can now begin the budget reconciliation process to address taxes and spending with a simple majority.
“The Budget Resolution that passed the House today is a big win for the country. It unlocks our ability to make permanent tax provisions important to small business and all taxpayers that are set to expire. It is the critical opening step toward enacting the Trump agenda to return us to fiscal responsibility, unleash our economy, and prioritize the American worker and their families for future generations,” said Congressman Rouzer.
