Happy Easter! It is a true blessing to be able to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ, who died on the cross for our sins so that we could become one with our Father in Heaven.  This Easter, join me in celebration knowing the suffering in this world of evil is temporary and that God will prevail. May His mercy and forgiveness be ever-present in our hearts and minds.  I hope you and your family enjoy a happy, safe, and blessed day reflecting, remembering, and celebrating Christ’s everlasting gift of eternal life for all who believe in Him.  Happy Easter! Luke 24:6: “He is not here; he has risen!”

This Week's Good News Story

For this week's good news story, I'm highlighting sixteen students from South Brunswick Middle School who were honored on March 15 for being "Good Neighbors" in their school and communities.  According to the State Port Pilot, "honorees, along with their parents, were invited to attend the award ceremony which took place in the school’s media center.  Teachers then presented students with their awards while sharing briefly why each student was chosen to be honored. Students recognized were Selena Bethune, Julia Bloch, Taylor Bowers, Grace Crook, Zach Hayes, Skylar Henry, Hannah Hobbs, SavannahJo Lo, Brooke McPherson, Kaleb Markel, Jamarcus Moore, Reagan Moon, Nattapong (Usa) Petchrakrai, Colton Price, Prism Shultz and James Smith."  Congratulations to these students for setting a great example and reminding others what it means to work hard, be a team player, and always be willing to help.  Keep up the good work!

Closing Thoughts...

“We have been the recipients of the choicest bounties of Heaven. We have been preserved these many years in peace and prosperity. We have grown in numbers, wealth, and power as no other nation has ever grown; but we have forgotten God. We have forgotten the gracious hand which preserved us in peace, and multiplied and enriched and strengthened us; and we have vainly imagined, in the deceitfulness of our hearts, that all these blessings were produced by some superior wisdom and virtue of our own. Intoxicated with unbroken success, we have become too self–sufficient to feel the necessity of redeeming and preserving grace, too proud to pray to the God who made us. It behooves us, then, to humble ourselves before the offended Power, and confess our national sins, and to pray for clemency and forgiveness.”
